Great place for dog walking.

Nice local dog walk. Great views from the hill fort. Lots of lazy dirt bags don't pick up after their dogs. Land management people usually inflict cows or sheep on the meadow (bottom of the hill opposite cricket club) and the hill fort for their own misguided pop science based reasons. This is for a couple of months and brings clouds of flies and trashes both areas.Avoid busy times and it can be lovely. Rain and dark seem to put off a lot of people and those can be the best time for a wander. Dog poo bin in the car park - use it people!

Very pretty at this time of year.

Interesting Iron Age enclosure, re-used in the post-Roman period which maked it special. Nice views to the Mendips. Plenty of birds. Good for dog-walking.

Good walking in good weather, excellent viws. Bird watching. Dog friendly if you carry-to-use poo bags. Some seating.
